Housing

We focus closely on the meeting the needs of our local homeless residents, especially those with mental illness.SCHARP owns and operates 32 units of permanent supportive housing in four separate properties in South Los Angeles. Included is our Figueroa Apartments, funded through California's Mental Health Services Act.
SCHARP also provides supportive services to homeless persons with mental illness through contracts with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health.And we serve as sub-regional access center in Service Planning Area 6 for Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority's Coordinated Entry System (CES), offering assessment, admission, and referrals. Included are housing assistance and case management services to clients matched to a housing resource through the CES for the Cities of Lynwood, Compton and portions of the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles.
