DAY TREATMENT INTENSIVE (DTI)

Children, 3 – 5 years old

Overview: 
This program provides services to children, ages 3 – 5 years of age who have significant behavior challenges that interfere with their ability to integrate into traditional preschool and/or other settings. Such behaviors may include excessive tantrums, refusing to follow directions, physical aggressive behaviors of fighting peers including striking out at adults, taking flight especially in public settings, ADHD and other such related behaviors. Kids are typically referred by their current preschool program, physicians, friends of family, counselors, and multiple social service agencies. Those children who are eligible will participate in a behavioral treatment classroom on a daily basis, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 12:30pm. Transportation, parent participation, field trips and linkage for follow up are provided.

Program Components:
  • Children participate in a daily classroom setting from 8am to 12:30pm.
  • Behavioral modification
  • Recreational Activities
  • Therapy
  • Psychiatry services as necessary
  • Linkage Services
  • Community activities
  • Breakfast, snacks, and transportation are provided.

Referral Process:
Children are typically referred by their current preschool program, physicians, friends of family, counselors, and multiple social service agencies. If you feel that a child may be eligible for services, please call 323-733-8600 to make a referral.
